The PMI is the world’s leading association for the project management profession. It administers a globally recognised, rigorous professional credentialing program certified to the ISO 9001 Quality standard. The PMI professional credentials are widely recognised and accepted throughout the world as evidence of a proven level of experience, knowledge and education in project management.

There are three levels of certification:

• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM^®) is designed for project team members, entry-level project managers and students who want a credential to recognise their value to project team performance.
• Project Management Professional (PMP^®) is for those who have been leading projects for some years.
• Program Management Professional (PgMPSM) is for those who have been leading projects and programmes for some years.
