5 simple ways to improve your website's search engine ranking - book coverBook Review

"5 Simple Steps to Improve Your Website's Search Engine Ranking"  by Pat Bensky

If you have a website then you have almost certainly been contacted by companies offering to optimise your site for search engines and guaranteeing you a high ranking in exchange for paying them lots of money. They always make Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) sound like black magic that only they can perform. Well, the good news is that armed with this book, just about anyone can achieve the same results without paying third party companies a penny!

The book is a slimline paperback comprising about 40 pages. Our first impression was that you don't get a lot for your money, but this impression was soon dispelled when it became apparent that this book contains exactly the information you need without any of the extraneous waffle that one often finds in these type of books.

The book has simple to read sections dealing with each of the essentials of SEO including web robots (spiders & web crawlers), search engine submission, keywords, meta-tags, page content, links & site maps; as well as references to useful resources.

The author Pat Bensky lives locally in Hitchin, Hertfordshire and has many years of experience with Search Engine Optimisation. Her knowledge and experience of what works and what doesn't is encapsulated in this book.

This is an excellent book that is very clear with easy to follow explanations of what is often made out to be a difficult subject. We are happy to recommend this book to our customers and subscribers.

Free Website Reviews

We bring you a warning about large companies jumping on the bandwagon to provide "free" website reviews and advice. You need to be very careful to check that what they offer really is independent advice because we have found that after delivering a brief report, many of these companies want you to buy their services to "fix" the problems that they have found - hardly independent!

Furthermore, in some cases their own websites do not even comply with the latest regulations, which calls into question the value of the advice they are likely to give to other businesses.

We were one of the first companies to provide a fully independent, no-strings-attached service to small businesses based in the East of England and East Midlands regions.
