Multi-User Licences

The LearnKey Library Licence is a non-transferable multi-user limited license that permits the purchaser to install the training content and train an unlimited number of individuals. With this licence the product may be placed on a workstation, such as a PC in a training lab, or used as a library copy.

Note that duplication of CD and/or electronic transmission of any content are in violation of manufactures copyright. Each additional user licence must be unlocked by LearnKey or it's authorized representative. User must access the training materials using an original manufacturer's CD-ROM.

With a Library Licence, additional sets of Media (CD-ROMs) may be purchased at reduced price - please contact us for details.

Library Licences are generally available for all of our LearnKey courses. If the price is not shown on the relevant product page it is generally 3.5 X the standard single user licence cost (before discounts), but please contact us for a quote.

Workgroup Licences are good for small groups where an online solution is more appropriate rather than CDs with a library licence. By providing an online solution as opposed to a library licence with CDs, the benefits to the customer are:

  • Concurrency - not limited to the number of media sets they have
  • Management - CDs not being lost, stolen or left at home
  • Location - training can now take place at home, work, remote office, anywhere on demand
  • Admin - An admin can be nominated to monitor progress

Therefore pricing is now available to groups and small departments as an alternative solution to CDs with a library licence.

Online workgroup licences are generally available for all of our LearnKey courses. The price depends upon the number of users, so please contact us for a quote.

Certification Focus - Test Centres

The authorised bodies for awarding various IT certifications have set up networks of authorised test centres at which their certification exams can be taken. These networks extend throughout the UK and in many cases, throughout the world.

The main test centre networks are as follows:

  • The British Computer Society - BCS, manages the ECDL or European Computer Driving Licence certification in the UK. (We will be featuring ECDL in the next issue of this newsletter.)

  • Certiport operate the testing on behalf of Microsoft for the Microsoft Office Specialist exams.

  • Prometric Test Centres for IT professional certification exams including 3Com, Adobe, APC, Apple, Cisco, CIW, CompTIA, CTI, CTP, HP, IBM, intel, Linux, Lotus, Macromedia, Microsoft, Novell, Oracle, Sun, Symantec, XML & many more...

  • Pearson VUE for IT professional certification exams including Adobe, Cisco, CIW, CompTIA, CTP, Linux, MySQL, Novell, SAP, Sun and more...

So for ECDL you need to search for a BCS approved Test Centre and for Microsoft Office you need to search for a Certiport test Centre; while for IT Professional Certification we recommend starting with Prometric and then checking VUE if you need a test centre nearer to your location or for exams which Prometric does not cover.

To make it easier for you to find local test centres, we have included links to each of their search wizards on our website at http://www.wise.co.uk/support/testcentres.htm.

Since we provide authorised online and self-study courses throughout the UK, our students tend to be widely dispersed geographically. Students generally find it more convenient to take their exams at local test centres and avoid excessive travel. For this reason we do not act as a test centre for certification exams ourselves.

Pricing for exams can usually be found in the detailed course information that can be accessed by selecting the course and clicking on the More Details button.
