- Project Management
The Project Management Institute offers professional qualifications recognised world wide for project or programme managers and team members. The PMI is the world’s leading association for the project management profession. It administers a globally recognised, rigorous professional credentialing program certified to the ISO 9001 Quality standard. The PMI professional credentials are widely recognised and accepted throughout the world as evidence of a proven level of experience, knowledge and education in project management.
There are three levels of certification:
PMI Certifications:Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) |
is designed for project team members, entry-level project managers and students who want a credential to recognise their value to project team performance. |
Project Management Professional (PMP®) |
is for those who have been leading projects for some years. |
Program Management Professional (PgMPSM) |
is for those who have been leading projects and programmes for some years. |
You also need to meet certain educational requirements, project or programme management experience, and to agree to adhere to a code of professional conduct. The examinations are rigorous computer-based multiple-choice tests designed to objectively assess and measure your ability to apply project or programme management knowledge. The examinations are available at 10 sites in the UK.
