CBT Course Installation Instructions
These instructions are for the earlier type of NETg CD-ROMs. Please follow the instructions that came with the CD-ROM and only if that fails, then try these instructions below.

Windows 95/98/ME/NT 4.0/2000/XP

Windows 3.1/NT 3.5x

The following instructions apply to all Windows systems except where shown otherwise:

1. Close down any programs you may have running and disable Antivirus auto-protection (if it is enabled on the PC).

2. Insert the compact disc into the CD-ROM drive and if the CD does not “autorun” then do this manually in the next steps:

3. From the Windows Taskbar click on the Start button.

4. Select Run.

3. From the Windows Program Manager click on the File menu

4. Select Run.

5. At the Run dialogue box, type d:\setup.exe where d is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive, (if you have difficulty locating your CD-Rom drive letter, try the browse button and locate the drive named NETG, then select the file on it named setup.exe and click open or OK to return to the Run dialogue box).

6. Press Enter or click OK.

You will be prompted through several options as follows, (once you have selected an option at each stage, click Next to proceed to the next stage):

7. Select language if prompted, then accept the license.

8. When prompted select Option 1 – Run course from this PC.

9. Next when prompted select Option 1 – install course to your Hard Drive or Option 2 - Run course directly from CD-ROM depending upon whether you have plenty of spare hard disk space or not.

10. In the next screen select all of the course modules by clicking on Select all courses.

11. Next you are prompted with three option boxes, click on Options next to the Audio option and select Compressed Audio, click OK; leave the other two options at their default setting for now, (this can always be changed later), click Next.

12. If prompted select country as United Kingdom.

13. Next accept the default directory, though you can change this if required. If prompted say yes to create the directory.

14. Next accept the default directory for storing bookmarks, or set it to what you chose in 13 above.15. Review the settings and click Next to start the installation, a progress bar indicates progress, (the time will depend upon the speed of your CD-ROM drive).

16. Click Finish to complete the installation.

17. Remove the compact disc from the CD-ROM drive.

18. Re-enable Antivirus protection if you disabled it in step 1 above. You may also be prompted to reboot your PC.

To Run Your CBT Course

To run the course select the course from your Start, Programs menu, (select the appropriate NETg folder), then you are prompted to enter a User ID & password. On the first use, enter the User ID & password of your choice, (you are prompted to confirm the password). Make a note of them for subsequent use of the course. Then follow the on-screen instructions or use HELP at any time.

To Remove (Uninstall) Your CBT Course

Removing your course:

Insert the compact disc into the CD-ROM drive. From the Windows Taskbar, click on the Start button. Select Run. At the Run dialogue box, type d:\remove\remove or d:\remove\setup.exe where d is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.

Insert the compact disc into the CD-ROM drive. From the Windows Program Manager click on the File menu option. Select Run. At the Run dialogue box, type d:\remove\remove or d:\remove\setup.exe  where d is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive

Minimum System Requirements

486DX 33MHz CPU. Microsoft Windows 3. 1 x, Windows 95 or higher and a Microsoft compatible mouse. At least 8Mb RAM. VGA monitor with at least 512K video RAM running in 640 x 480 or higher resolution. Double-speed (or higher) CD-ROM drive.

Recommended for audio play MPCI-compliant sound card that supports audio with attached speakers or headphones.
